Introducing; Music is my Radar

I’ve got to say I’m lucky to live in Adelaide. Adelaide is the most vibrant and artistically inclined city in Australia; it’s not for nothing that we are known as “The festival state”.
Unfortunately, for all the acts that make it, ten fade in to obscurity for want of promotion. My sister the Cop, Hekyll, and Fear in Dakota are all examples of this- great potential, rosy futures, but for want of a little more success and encouragement, they folded.
Fliers can only do so much; word of mouth has its limits, and while neither of these are to be dismissed they can be combined, and added to.
This is the purpose of this blog, to promote Adelaide bands and venues.
While in these early stages of development I will make three posts on the bands I choose, the first a biography of the band, who they are and what they’re about, the second about the bands current projects, recordings, links and upcoming shows, and the third, a gig review. Ultimately the intention is to provide links for downloads and purchases.
You can help! Let me know about any acts you’d like to see promoted. Just leave a comment, or e-mail me at btcassidy [at] gmail.com. The survival of bands depends on one simple thing, people getting into their music- if you’ve gotten into someone’s music, share the vibe.
